The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers is a group that pursues legislative change and an open civil justice system to protect Florida s citizens against criminal, fraudulent and unsafe corporate behavior and medical malpractice. The academy educates the public and increases awareness about attacks on the civil justice system. The academy has more than 4,000 members and is based in Tallahassee, Fla.
