I had gotten acrylics put on at a (really upscale) salon 2 weeks prior, & I stopped in to Jen Nails to have them filled before a big job interview. The woman really didn't want to fill them, she wanted to replace them, & kept trying to convince me to replace them over & over & over. She kept trying to tell me they were too old, & were a poor quality, which certainly wasn't true.

As she was smoothing them down she broke them off, so I'd have to replace them or remove them, & I'm SURE she did it on purpose. I was upset, but I didn't say anything, so I asked to have them removed.

She scowled a little & moved on to another client, & made me wait for her husband to remove them. He tried to PLY THEM OFF by sliding a metal bar between the acrylic & my nail. It was painful & awkward & after a couple nails I had to ask him to stop.

I requested to soak them off, & he wasn't happy to oblige. After it was taking a while to soak my acrylics off, he tried to SHAVE them off. He kept going & going & going until 90% of the thickness of my natural nail was gone. They're so thin that IT HURTS TO TOUCH THEM. I got 3 nails in & had to make him stop, again. I was really, really trying to be polite. Yet somehow asking him to stop offended him, he yelled something in a foreign language, & made me wait again,

He finally sent their daughter over to inspect me. I was supposed to have them paint my nails, but I was annoyed. The damage was so severe that I left the remainder of the previous acrylics on, asked to pay, & left.



PAPER THIN is thicker than what I was left with.

IT HURTS TO TOUCH THEM.

I'm afraid that my nails are going on fall off.



I should have known better when I saw that their nail polish was LESS than drugstore quality. The only recognizable brand was OLD Avon polish. It was really tacky. All the equipment was old. & the entire time I was in there I didn't see anything get cleaned. I should've run far, far away.
