Stage fun for girls

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her two summer camps at Petite Players and would have signed up for the school year class for her age but it was full! This business thrives on word-of-mouth with many returning students so if you are interested don't hesitate to register. Our girl is very quiet and introverted, and had an unhappy drama experience at another school when she was 4, but if I'd known how much fun she would have from day one, I would have started her at Petite Players sooner. She went for summer camp after fourth grade and again after fifth grade, and we also attended the performance for the second graders. The director's enthusiasm absolutely sweeps the girls (classes are only for girls) into the excitement and fun of performing. This is a very non-competitive and supportive environment. Everyone has an equal role in the production, and the youngest kids mostly do things in chorus, in support of the director who is carrying the story line; with each subsequent year, the girls take on more independence and more challenging dance steps, etc., as the director steps aside to turn it over to the youngsters. It's a load of fun and I only wish it were an all-day camp to make it easier for working parents!
