Sunrise Community, located in Tallahassee, Fla., is part of Sunrise Group, which was established in 1976, founded as Sunrise School in Redlands in Miami. The organization offers a variety of programs and services, such as foster care, supported living, residential homes, respite care, supported employment and various adult day programs to people. It also provides after school care, behavioral analysis services and assessment, physical therapy, environmental modifications and speech language therapy programs. Sunrise Community additionally offers occupational therapy, companion services, in-home training, transportation, personal care assistance, homemaker services and non-residential support services. Sunrise Group is comprised of various private, nonprofit corporations, which offer various support services to people with disabilities.
