Went to Stoves n' Stuff for a fireplace enclosure and needed something custom....they were busy but treated me like I was the only person in the store....had everything wrapped up in about 2weeks....the custom enclosure a perfect fit

I seldom write reviews good or bad but after seeing few positive post decided to at least sent along a positive and recent experience
We bought a fireplace insert back in 2016 from Stoves Stuff. In the six years never called for Service.
Back in March after being away our propane run out which caused the pilot in the fireplace insert to go out
Not being a gas expert I started calling around a few other places because of the negative reviews on Services from Stove Stuff.
Well not having luck elsewhere I decided why not try Stove Stuff
They took my information called me back within a day - certainly wasn’t an emergency- and scheduled a visit.

Tech came out, cleaned the entire unit and relit the pilot after bleeding line some.

So not having any service on the unit for six years they just came and took care of the problem at a very reasonable price

I hope the Service I received is because perhaps they saw the several negative reviews but I was very happy with it and the tech who did the work

Bad business practice. After being a loyal customer for years, you would think they would try to take care of the local customers. Called regarding pellets was told to come down immediately, only to find out when we got there that there were no pellets. Someone who is not a regular customer walked in the door right before us, even though I was told to come down. I will rethink keeping my loyalty local.

Today I finally got to deal with my air tubes on my Avalon FLUSH MOUNT fireplace insert...I LOVE THE PRODUCT and am now into year 5 of ownership. The product is under warranty...but wow...again Stoves and Stuff baffle me with their consistently Lousy customer service...I dont think Pete is a nice guy as he has never called me when I previously tried to tell him of his company's inadequacies.

The tone is usually set by the top...and without meeting Pete, today he lost a potential service call(because he wont invest in his business and create a virtual schedule for all his employees to be empowered to book service calls) and then really put the nail in the coffin when his employee tried to charge me for shipping to my home...well guess what...no service call would have been paid by me( NO COMPLAINT)...funniest part as I was typing this ...I get a call from the store...almost gloating saying that my stove is out of warranty for the 5 year portion...I then refer him to page 32 of my manual showing him the 7 year warranty....THESE PEOPLE SIMPLY PUT ARE OUT FOR STOVES AND STUFF...do not take their word for anything...verify your warranty information, and most of all GO ELSEWHERE...HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE...too bad I even have to give them one star

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The owner Pete is a nice guy and always trying to help but his employee's are the rudest most incompetent group of people Ive ever met. They treat you like your an inconvenience to them and every question you ask is met with a snarky ignorant response. I wil be taking my hard earned money elsewhere from now on.

Horrible Customer Service. I never have delt withn a company that ever makes the customer call the manufacturer to figure out the problem. Stoves n Stuff never returns phone calls untill you call them again Months later. DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME. WOOD HEAT HAS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

AWFUL! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH STOVES-N-STUFF! Bought a wood stove insert in 2009 -could never close the baffle on the chimney flue properly since the day it was installed. They gave my wife and I every excuse in the book -never offered to come take a look. This Oct. 2011, they FINALLY admitted there was a manufacturing defect. They ordered parts, but they took 6 weeks to come in, and ended up being the wrong parts! Spoke with the owner, Pete Carmean, who asssured me he would send someone out after he checked with the manufacturer. He never called back -typical of anyone you deal with there! When my wife called to inquire (now Dec. '11) because she has to sit in the house with her COAT ON, he said he couldn't come until a week later because he had "other customers yelling at him" for their problems and needed to help them first. They lie, they have no customer service -just excuses and no results. SHOP ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE!
