We purchase 6 B grade containers from A AAmerican and contracted with them to modify the containers with framed openings. Two of the containers they sent us are not wind and water tight (as grade B implies) and have serious cancer. All 5 of the window openings were cut and framed to the wrong size. To pass code, we have to remove the frames, fabricate new ones, increase the opening sizes and re-install. In our case, A AAmerican would not fix their mistakes.

No problems here. I actually shopped around and priced containers with a few different companies. These guys gave me the best deal on purchasing a unit and delivering it and i live over 70 miles from Tampa. Staff was friendly. In my opinion it is not their responsibility to check zoning laws. They are not constructing anything. Its just like parking an RV on your property if you live in a deed restricted neighborhood. Should the RV dealer check the policies of your home owners association first? I think not.

AAmerican Shipping Containers, sold us a storage container knowing that in Hillsborough county, Florida it is a code violation & not allowed on any residential property. Before we bought the container, we asked them (at their office) if there was a zoning issue. They took 20 minutes to "check our zoning". The sales lady stated that as long as we don't live in a deed restricted neighborhood, the shipping container was not a code violation. The container was delivered by AAmerican, & set up by AAmerican on our property. Code Enforcement gave us a citation. We called AAmerican, and asked why this happened? The lady who owns the business said that the lady that sold the unit to us was no longer there. They offered to buy the container back for $1,000. We paid $1,970 for the unit 3 months ago! This matter is being turned over to the Attorney General's Office, in Tampa. DON"T buy from them until you check with your local zoning office. How many times has our unit been sold? Scammers!
