Had to take my miniature schnauzer Zoey there because she was not energetic, not eating, was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea. Not too many choices at 1am, so I am truly grateful for the Blue Pearl and other places like it. I drove there without calling and they got her in to look at her fairly quickly. They recommended a very wide range of tests and diagnostics, and when I asked about just starting off with testing for the most likely causes, the tech patiently explained each one and helped me to choose the best ones to to with. She was very polite and caring. They wound up keeping her for two days ensuring that she was kept hydrated with IV's and receiving the nutrients she needed while they diagnosed and treated her. After two days she was recovered enough to come home. Best guess is that she ingested and passed something that injured her intestines before I ever took her in as well as pancreatitis. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but to me that is to be expected for a 24/7 emergency care facility with all required equipment and staff on site. They were very up front with the pricing every step of the way. Afterwards they electronically provided all the records to both myself and my regular vet. Both doctors (Dr. Johnson & Dr. Burke) and all the staff I interacted with were top notch professionals and I can't thank them enough for giving my Zoey the care she needed when she so desperately needed it.

3,150$ three visits, my dog diagnosed with nothing, a happy healthy 4 year old boxer starts panting in distress, take him there after hours, gouged me with excessive expenses to tell me the dog has zero medical condition. Wanted to perform a 5,000$ MRI, desperate as I maybe, if nothing medically wrong why? My regular vet saw him, agreed after reviewing their report zero wrong. My beloved dog has deteriorated, I do believe this may have been as simple as a belly ache or gas. This ER gouges people with EMOTIONS! At least my regular vet sugested options to heal him naturally, it worked, but weakness had overcome him and this Soldier still continues to fight, on a Sunday what can I do. I refuse to have him put down at that place that is simply a money making uncaring “specialty hospital “.

They expect a ton of money up front instead of saying look this will take all these different test and treatments, they just said to me, we need $4000 up front and I about fell over. I'm on Social Security, I'm not one of their regular millionaires that comes in with their dogs for treatments. I wished I had gone to Tampa Bay Veterinary specialist on Belcher in Largo before Blue Pearl. I think they are associated but man do they charge different and help different!!! I think Blue Pearl is just used to people who can afford them! I had to put that on a credit card. Now I removed my dog early and took him to Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialist in Largo and got a partial refund but just the fact they want all that money up front is pitiful.....they catch you at your worst point, you want to save you dog or cat so naturally you are confused and are trying to save your animal. They actually told me they needed me to leave my dog for a couple of weeks because of his bleeding disorder. I said hell no, I don't have $10,000 or $20,000!!!! When I picked him up they said you do know he can literally bleed to death if you take him home don't you? I said well I'm confused, couldn't he bleed to death in a kennel here also?? They said well yes he could......so they for sure try to take advantage of your emotions at your weakest point!!! Now I'm not questioning the quality of their specialist at all, I'm sure they are all very qualified but because of the money issue with them, I will never return to them with an emergency at all!!!!

Great vet clinic! Came here for the first time after getting our puppy and had a good experience with them. The staff is on point and were fast with my appointment.

The veterinarian is wonderful. They are warm, kind, knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to listen, ask the right questions, and clearly love animals.

Because of this talented group, we're able to play fetch with a happily recovering puppy tonight. Many thanks to doctor and team, you did an awesome job.

This animal hospital provided experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate care for my animals. There is no question that the entire staff works diligently to provide the best, and friendliest, care in the community. I trust them completely and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. I feel that providing high quality care for my animals is my responsibility. The doctors and the staff have helped me to make sure that my animals have a wonderful quality of life for as long as I can keep them! I greatly appreciate the entire staff.

On August 2nd I had to bring my dog here for luxating patella surgery. This was actually her 2nd time having the surgery, since the first time it didn't take (the first surgery did not take place here). I was really, really nervous and quite upset that she would have to go through this again, as it's a pretty major surgery and long recovery. Luckily I got the best doctor, who was not only kind but also pretty reassuring that she would heal up fine and the surgery would be a success. He even called me right after the surgery was done to tell me that it went great.

Fast, courteous, and professional. The care and concern was truly genuine and so was the communication. Thank you!=)

This place is unbelievable my dog is my best friend and you all treated him like he was your best friend as well and that means everything to me.

The staff is absolutely great!!! The Best!! Keep up the great job. Everyone in the office always have a cheerful and welcoming smile!!!
