LOVE IT! I have 4 children who attend this school. The most important aspect to me is the loving nurturing environment that they provide. I know that my children are well taken care of and happy!

Great place, great reputation

I went to go visit Carrollwood Village Childcare and I am glad I did so before I read this review because I might have missed out on sending my child to this exceptional school. I am expecting my first child and heard about this place from a friend from work that told me she had attended that daycare when she was a child and knew the owner by name and up untul a few years ago went to visit, needless to say that sparked my curiosity. When I walked in to the facility I was greeted by Rachel the director and Diane the owner. Although it was a busy time for them they were more than happy to give me a tour. The infant room was quite serene and the caregiver was friendly, room was in order, cribs were comfortable and room was very clean as was the rest of the facility. Rachel was gracious enough to show me the older childrens classrooms even though they were begining VPK class. The children seemed happy and unlike the previous review the room was bright and stimulating with there colorful artwork hanging from the walls. I really don't understand what the previous reviewer saw that was "concerning" to her. While I was leaving I saw a mother who had just dropped her child off for the day how long her child had attended the school and she said since she was an infant ( now three) and sang the praises of the owner and teachers in the center. My visit to Carrollwood Village daycare was a positive one. The place was clean, teachers were caring and there reputation is impeccable. The only opinon that I share with the previous reviewer is that yes 30 years in business is very impressive in itself I visited a few other daycares in the area who dont even come close to that amount of time in business and for me that speaks volumes.

My special needs child has been at the center for 3 years. He is properly cared for in every way. He attends school now but goes to aftercare at the center.

Concerned Mother

I recently went into the facility to find out some out some information about sending my child to pre-school at Carrollwood Village. I took a brief tour and looked at the classrooms. I had also gone to the other three pre-schools in the area to view their VPK and extended care facilities. I was amazed on how different Carrollwood Village was compared to the others. The other schools have colors on the walls and stimulating toys for the children to play with. I was appalled at the conditions of Carrollwood Village's classroom. The plain black tables and the stark white walls were lacking in stimulation. There were no activity centers or learning centers. It looked like a little baby prison. Children at the age of 4 learn through play and interaction. There are many studies to support this. I do realize that they have been in this location for 30years. That in itself is impressive. They were nice, and most likely cared for the children. But perhaps you should visit some of these other schools and see how much they are above Carrollwood Village in creating a happy, loving, fun, learning environment.
