I wouldn't shop here again.

I made the mistake of buying my new G1 phone at Cell City instead of a real T-mobile retail store, or online. Because of this several things happened.



First, I had to wait much longer for my phone that I would have had to wait otherwise. They told me nobody yet had the new G1, and it would have to be ordered. I later discovered I could have it right away at a real t-mobile store, or if I'd ordered it online.



It was my fault for not going to a different store. But the second thing that happened was they entered the wrong cell phone plan into the computer. When I pointed out the mistake, Cell City told me they would fix it later that night. But they never did.



I went into the store on the day they were supposed to have the phone, after the time I was told UPS would be dropping them off. But there was no phone. The store called me back a couple hours later when they finally had the phone and asked if I could stop by again. I mentioned that I was on a tight schedule , but would come by again if it wouldn't take too long. I was told that it wouldn't.



When I arrived, the person working at the store had actually put his SIM card into *my* phone so that he could try it out. He was surprised when he took it out that all his personal information was still on my phone and had to call t-mobile to have the entire phone reset. Needless to say, I was late to where I was going.



Also, before I left, the store told me they would port my old cell phone number over to the new phone that evening. It was supposed to take 24 hours. I called t-mobile 24 hours later when my number had not been ported over, and found out that the request had never been made.



And last but not least, my phone now smells like this guy's cologne from him having played with it so much.



On the up side, the customer service people at T-mobile proper where able to fix all my problems right away and without complain. They downgraded my plan to where I wanted it, they ported over my old number, and did it very quickly.
