Community Church Tampa is a fellowship of believers committed to the primacy of Scripture and the supremacy of Jesus Christ. We are not centered on a human personality, but rather the teaching and proclamation of all of God's Word, which was handed down by our Lord to His chosen apostles and is preserved for us by the Holy Spirit.

Good Balance

Good church with sound Biblical Teaching. Overall a dispensational type church, although those aren't issues that are hammered regularly. The teaching tends towards life application and understanding of the scriptures. Typically expositional.

Worship is fairly balanced between hymns and contemporary songs. The overall tone is similar to what you would hear on an easy listening station, or just slightly tamer than what JoyFM or SpiritFM plays, but not by much. They use a piano, acoustic, drum, bass, keyboard, and sometimes an electric.

They have additional teaching and Bible Studies available. Most regular parishioners attend Sunday School classes (I think they call it ABF - adult Bible fellowship), and there is a group that meets on Sunday night that is systematically reading throughout the entirety of the scriptures with a focus on teaching this all through regular family devotionals.

Youth ministry is fairly active, but I had minimal exposure to that. There are multiple youth who seem to be active in the church through the music and ushering.

It's worth a visit if you are searching for a church home, but to get the full impact of what it provides, you should give it a full month of visits. This church will probalby not wow you with amazing, earth shattering worship or teaching, but once exposed, you recognize the balance it provides and it will encourage you on your search for depth and closeness to Christ.
