Went to Las Palmas tonight for dinner. The food was pretty good and the place has a nice appearance. But I have to give them one star. The problem was that I don't enjoy having to listen to a squealing child during my entire meal. The worst part is that the child was not a customer, she belonged to one of the staff as she and her older sister, maybe 5 or 6 years old, were both behind the service counter the whole time. On top of the squealing, the big sister kept turning the volume up way too high on the background music. As I said, good enough food but I won't be going back for about 6 years or so, after the kids grow up a little or they can leave them at home with a sitter.



Addendum: Just got a response from the owner, what a vulgar vocabulary, no wonder his kids act like banshees. Total lack of class.

The downside to these reviews is that business owners can submit various reviews under assumed names praising their businesses. It's never been more obvious that every review here is nonsense except for one.
When you go into the restaurant you hear the exact same rhetoric you read here. "Ybor City" style or type of restaurant to which I say hogwash!
The food is mediocre at best with little to none Spanish seasoning and I'm convinced that the black beans are out of a can. What a disappointment and shame on you for mentioning this travesty of a restaurant in the same breath as "Ybor City"!
