Just like others, I ordered a specific remote and was shipped a completely different one, without asking first if this was acceptable. The note I received apologized for failing to notify me. I thought this maybe was a one-off mistake until I started reading the reviews here who have the exact same story, with the fabulous part being that we each have to pay the shipping to return the item we never ordered or wanted. Also, I later found the remote I wanted on Amazon for half what New Remotes charged me, with free shipping to me, and free shipping on the return, if necessary. Not a happy customer.

Like others, I was sent the same brand remote but NOT the remote to my specific tv model that is 8 years old. I could have purchased a universal remote for 1/3 the price. I decided to keep it and not go through the hassle of sending it back because all buttons work and it is smaller and I need to program it like I would a universal remote. It's just slimy though that they don't give you any prior indication that they substitute.

7 months ago on 03/07/2015, I bought a remote for my Onyko amp, & Samsung TV. It works perfectly, BUT the batteries that came with it are junk and almost ruined the remote. On this date remote stopped working so I checked the batteries and found one had leaked and rusted the terminal. So, I had to clean and de-rust it. What a pain. So keep an eye on the batteries that come with it. The remote = 5 stars. The batteries 1 star, so average is 2.5 or 3 stars. Thanks for reading and caution on batteries.

Ordered Samsung remote that was listed as in stock; they sent a different remote with a note that the original I ordered was not available. I am sending it back and am disappointed they did not contact me before they sent a different remote.

Tried many universal remotes and they did not work all the features of my Mitsubishi TV. Tried to find the original and couldn't. Then I came across New Remotes (Website MrRemoteControls.com). They had my original remote, it was reasonably priced, and I received it very quickly. I would highly recommend them.
