Benjamin Sutton came into our shop at a very hectic time requesting advice on how to set up a powder coating business for himself, I'm sorry that I came off rude, we were so busy and advising Benjamin on the skills of powder coating and how to set up a powder coating business was not our priority at that moment. Again, my apology, I am sorry that I was abrupt. Best wishes in your endeavors, God bless

Rude

Let me begin by stating that my review is not on the quality of the work done here. I have no idea what kind of work is done here nor will I ever, due to the attitude I was given on my first visit.

There is so much dishonesty in small business and with tradesmen that I like to visit a company before I give them my business. I had stepped into the office at Procoat and was talking to a very cordial man. Not 60 seconds had passed when an old lady stepped out of an office and said, "Thanks for coming in, but we're really busy right now."

I couldn't get out of there fast enough. If that's how a potential client is treated, I can't imagine how it goes after they have your money or if there's an issue with a completed job. There are other powder coaters in town and that's where I'll be taking my money.

*Update 10/21/2014*

I copied my previous review to various websites and it has been removed by Facebook. I merely recounted my experience with the company, and used that experience to determine whether or not to form a relationship with them. I did not slander, exaggerate, or resort to name calling, like Jon S. Cerrito did. Having read Procoat's reply to my review informed me that the woman thought I was asking for advice on how to go into competition with them. That would be like walking into McDonald's, telling them that you want to open a burger stand, and getting upset that they won't give you the recipe to the secret sauce. If she had eavesdropped for more than 60 seconds she would have learned that I am building a car and have thousands of dollars of work that needs to be done. In her defense, I did start out the conversation with where to locally get powder coating supplies because I have a little Harbor Freight setup and plan on doing some of the parts that aren't easily seen myself. I don't have the equipment nor the skill to coat the large or easily seen parts, so I was there to give that task to the professionals. Perhaps I should have taken the shiny Mercedes in the parking lot as a clue that I needed to start out the conversation with how much money I was going to spend there. At any rate, I'm sure I just caught them at a bad time and that's understandable. What's not acceptable is working in a customer service field, giving poor customer service, and then being able to erase it like it never happened.
