So, like all college kids, I live life on a budget. Mass grocery shopping with friends (sometimes at the dollar store), eating Ramen noodles, etc. To the point, I often walk just outside of the apartment complex I live in to the gas station right next door, where I can enjoy a 44 oz. soft drink for 79 cents. It takes maybe two minutes for this transit, so it's very convenient. A couple times we've been out of milk and a couple times, I've bought milk at this gas station. Lo' and behold, it's Sunny Florida Dairy brand milk. I think nothing of it and honestly kinda expected it to be better than the milk I usually grab from Walmart. Boy was I wrong. Both times, the first sometime in May and the second just today, I was met with an awful stench from the milk I had literally just bought. More often than not, I put off buying milk until I need it. So, imagine the look on my face when I literally had just come home with it to have a nice bowl of cereal and find that the milk is sour. Today I was excited to enjoy my cinnamon rolls, but nooooooooooooooo! Bad milk that's not supposed to expire for another week! Aren't there supposed to be repercussions for stuff like this? Because if I can buy just about anyone else's milk in the area and their milk is fine and always labeled properly, then why is it this one brand seems to just suck? How this company is still in business is beyond me. If there's one thing I know for sure, I won't be buying it ever again, no matter how convenient it is. Because having to walk back just to return this lousy excuse you call 2% milk, is anything but convenient! The only good that came from this was the free drink the cashier offered me for having to trek back over there for my money back for the garbage that Sunny Florida Dairy puts out. Oh and get this, when I went to return it, there was another gallon of the same milk by the sink! So it wasn't just my particular gallon. All of the milk that's currently being sold at that gas station is potentially bad, either because the expiration dates on the gallons are wrong, or because the SFD doesn't know how to actually sell good milk. Either way, they've earned one star in my eyes and I for one, can't wait until they go under.
