Do like to go boating alone? If you'd rather not...Tampa Cruis-a-cade's Family Boat Club is a great way to enjoy boating with other families - safety in numbers. We may boat for a little lunch, cruise to a nearby island, cruise for a weekend getaway.

It's a great way to meet some really nice knowledgeable people who enjoy boating as much as you do.

Our general meetings are held monthly - first Monday of every month @ 7pm and it is open to the public if you just want to check us out.

This is a great way to make boating friends and learn about safe boating! Members have 24/7 access to the facility which has a clubhouse, ramp and docks with electricity. The clubhouse is located on the Hillsborough River at the North Boulevard bridge. Membership requirements are participating in a club cruise/event, attending a monthly meeting and paying membership fee. Although club cruises/events/meetings are open to the public, so membership is not required to attend. There are monthly scheduled cruises, weekly get-togethers, additional unscheduled cruises, dinner events, monthly meetings and an annual 3-day Gasparilla party. Club cruises are designed to help teach cruising techniques to beginners. There is always a lead boat and tail boat to help guide everyone along. Coast Guard safety equipment is required on all boats on the cruise as well as some form of communication (radio on board is preferred but a cell phone will do). The cruise participants monitor channel 68 during the cruise. Once the destination is reached, there is almost always a dock party to celebrate. If you are not into cruising, the club is a great place to launch your boat. Club members often just tie up to the docks to spend the weekend. The clubhouse has a screened porch, tiki hut and grills on premises so it's a great way to spend the weekend. Check out the club's website www.cruis-a-cade.com for more info.
