Provided by YP.comRIVERVIEW OFFICE (Dr. Veiga): If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is absolutely horrible. They steal your money by not telling you what they can and cannot do when you call to make the appointment. They bring you in and then tell you that they don't do certain things/procedures and you need to go elsewhere after you've already paid your copay. Robbery!! The office manager was a horrible horrible hag of a disrespectful woman. She was rude and nasty and had no empathy for our infertility concerns whatsoever. If you're looking for support through your pregnancy, don't go here. You'll sit on hold for literally an hour every single time you call and they never return messages. They NEVER EVER call you back after a test/procedure or notify you of test results. They give you nothing after your visit to summarize what was discussed/treated/done, etc. the woman at the front desk are clueless and rude. And they act like taking your blood pressure is an inconvenience and telling you what your blood pressure is, annoys them. I'm a registered nurse and this is NOT how you treat patients no matter what the situation they are in. I will never ever go back and I will never ever recommend them to any woman. And if I come across anyone looking for an OBGYN in the Tampa area I'll be sure to steer them clear away from this group. They are awful, awful people.

Provided by YP.comThis review is for the Riverview office. I had a procedure done called a hysterosonography. I failed to do my homework re: this procedure, which was my first mistake. I relied on the M.D. when I asked if I could tolerate the procedure with just Tylenol on board and the M.D. said "yes". First, this procedure is tolerated well by women who have had children. But if you have never been pregnant then this procedure will be excruciatingly painful. So much so, that it is not unusual for the person to nearly pass out on the table due to the pain, which , of course, was my experience. My doctor either was inexperienced in doing this procedure on someone who had never had children or she knew the potential for my pain, yet still told me Tylenol will suffice.??? Either way, I have been traumatized. I did ask for part of my bill to be taken care of, but was told they don't do that. I am writing this to let other women know that if this OB/Gyn office,or any other office, want to do the procedure on a woman who has never been pregnant, than it shouldn't be done with anything less than conscious sedation. Tylenol will not suffice.

Provided by YP.comi have to rate 1 star for some important reasons. This 1 star does not speak to their competence or professionalism, but on a scale of 1 - 5 how much I'd be likely to recommend them and the answer is, I don't. -- I have impeccable insurance and their costs, even without insurance are really pretty good for pregnant women. $3500 not including the hospital fees. Great. However, before they see you, you must sign a binding arbitration agreement. Basically if they screw up, you can't sue them and the ball is entirely in their court. They decide what you would deserve for their mistake. -- I decided to not go after seeing the binding agreement. The staff was courteous and patient but I can't give stars for that because it's what one should expect fro someone doing their jobs. -- Another red flag is the fact that (and this was explained to me upfront) you never see one main doctor.... they pass you around like a gang bang and the doctor you may see initially may not be the same one who delivers your baby. -- They dont' use Tampa General hospital but 1 of 3 Saint Joseph's women's hospitals. That was another negative for us. --- No offense but I wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole.

Provided by YP.comThe front office at both the FLETCHER and LAND O' LAKES office are the most incompetent people I have even met. They failed to schedule me for a sonogram when they KNEW I was scheduling for my 20 week appt. When I confronted them on THEIR mistake, they never took blame and said I was a COMPLAINING PATIENT! After being told I would have to wait only 30 min- I was in there for 2 hours WAITING! They don't communicate with each other-so you're always told a different answer. I would NOT recommend this place JUST so you don't have to deal with the idiots that work at the front office!

Provided by YP.comThis practice really is inefficient and lack communication. You go to a different person each time. They familiarize themselves for a brief moment on your patient history and really lack the ability and time needed to diagnose. The nurse practitioner there is horrible very condescending and wastes your time. I have been going to them for over 4 yrs and will not go back. I had to go to an urologist and it took them over a week to get my patient files to them on the day of the appointment I had to call them back over 5 times to get the files there. The urologist office was very patient and kind with me but frustrated again with the lack of follow through and communication provided by this office. The funny part is I came back 6 months later with the same issues and wanted to figure out what was going on and the nurse practitioner indicated my sonograms had been clear which was false there had been spots seen and it along with other issues were the reasons I was advised to go to the urologist to determine if there was obstructions etc. It just shows how they really don’t invest the time needed to do a proper diagnosis. This practice would benefit from some serious process improvements and to have one physician assigned to you. The other issue I experienced there that exemplified their lack of communication was when I was scheduling for a sonogram per my Drs Instructions the person scheduling asked me why and I indicated to determine if I had miscarried. This was asked in front of other patients and of course as anyone can imagine a tough question to have to answer in front of others. A woman who was leaving at the same time as me said I am so sorry and how inappropriate of them to ask that in front of other people.
They now offer diet programs and Botox so it seems as though their main focus is on generating revenue and having a high amount of patients come through.

Provided by YP.comWhen I was recently hospitalized, Dr. Sanchez was the doctor on call. She relies only on the nurses report and did not check my history. When I was in pain and the nurses tried to contact her, she did not answer for several HOURS. When she finally came in she was not concerned with my comfort. She spends only a few minutes to sign paperwork and did not examine me. I felt that she was cold and disengaged. She does not care about the patient, only the paycheck.

Provided by YP.comDr. Barreiro is a wonderful, Professional, no nonsense Dr.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Helped with the insurance above and beyond the call of duty. I like the all female staff and the kindness that was shown to me in during and after my surgery.
