I've been coming to Joe the Tailor for nearly 20 years, usually just to repair split seams on clothing or travel bags. I can't comment on their dry cleaning or advanced alterations, but for my needs, they're great! The price and turn around time is more than reasonable. I've moved more than 30 minutes away from Taunton, but I keep going back.

I recently brought in a bridesmaid dress to have a small alteration- the dress fit fine but needed to have the boning on the breasts tucked in so that it would lie flat on my chest. I have had this done to other dresses without an issue in the past. This time, the dress was TAKEN IN! I was very clear about what I wanted and returned only 4-5 days later to find the dress far too tight. Instead of tucking the top of the dress they just made it smaller. Then the woman told me that perhaps I should just lose some weight. The man (joe I presume) told me, despite my vehement argument that the dress was way too tight, that I looked great and it fit perfectly. Needless to say they refused to fix it and I was left with a dress that no longer fit. I would never, never recommend them.
