Provided by YP.comOnly a 1 star because I have to. I ordered an alternator. When he mechanic tried to install, one of the connectors, where a bolt goes through, the bolt couldn't go through, because the hole was not bored through deep enough. The mechanic had a buy a replacement alternator, locally. OBB starters and alternators wanted to speak with he alternator. Ok, are they going to pay the mechanic, or am I suppose to. I asked for a return shipping label. They said I had to pay the return shipping and a restocking fee. The owner, Carlos, then hung the phone on me! Ridiculous for me to be out more money. They are not taking into consideration the part is defective! I filed a complaint with the BBB. I see 8-28-2013 a similar complaint, to which OBB never responded. I opened a dispute with my credit card. I am now leaving reviews, hoping to spare someone being ripped off! Also, filing complaints with various consumer protection agencies! Avoid this company, at all costs!!!
OBB Starters and Alternators has a one year warranty on all of our parts and we gladly stand by all of our products. In order to warranty a part, we have to receive it first, in which we have not in the above case. It is unfortunate that complaints are filed without allowing a company to act upon such a request. At no time will OBB allow any our employees to be verbally mistreated by use of profanity or racist remarks as was the case with this customer when we tried to assist this customer.
