What a wonderful surprise. I am always a little concerned when booking a non-chain motel. This room was great. It was huge gorgeous and Clean. Had a hot tub, fridge, micro and coffee maker. We returned after 25 years to find nothing left of our first home that we recongnized the room was definetely the highlight of our trip. The owners were great and the room was unbeleivable. We have paid a lot more for rooms and this was by far the best ever. It was also the cheapest room I found when calling for reservations.

It was by pure chance that we chose this motel. We appreciated the size of the room and the jacuzzi. I must add that the room was CLEAN! This is a big deal for me. The first thing I do is check out the bedding and the towels. The floors, bathrom, hallways, reception area were very clean. There was only fresh scents, which is important to me as well. The room had extra touches, like a basket of goodies to eat, (popcorn, peanutbutter crackers, bottled water). I kept looking for the price list, because I'm use to having pay for items consumed. This was not the case, it was complimentary! The room had a coffee pot, small frdige, microwave, small dinette set, large couch that look like a pull out one. There was a seperate full sized bathroom with full tub and shower.I seen grills outside and a fire pit with seating for people to enjoy their stay. We just wanted to be alone, which is respected. The fee charged is what will also bring us back. The propieters are making a living from offering exceptional customer service without nickel and diming their guest.

My husband and I just stayed at the Harborview Motel as a little getaway from work and kids! We were throughly pleased with the accommodations. The rooms are VERY clean and the owners are very friendly and hospitable. It was nice to stay somewhere other than a typical hotel plus you can't find a hotel with a jacuzzi in the room for such a reasonable price. I would recommend the Harborview Motel to anyone needing a place to stay in Tawas.

I recently was home on R&R leave from Afghanistan. I decided to jump on my motorcycle with my girlfriend and take a trip to northern michigan. One of the places I decided to stay at was Tawas. I looked at several different hotels in the area and finally came across Harborview. When I saw the room I was blown away. It was absolutely beautiful!! When I asked what the price was, I about fell over. I couldnt believe that I was going to have such an amazing room for such a bargain price!!! My girlfriend and I spent two wonderful nights at the Harborview and have every intention of returning next summer when we return from our deployment to Afghanistan. I absolutely love the Harborview Motel!!!!!

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Harborview. We called to make reservations and weren't sure what to expect when we arrived. This place was exceptionally clean and the owners were very hospitable and obviously take pride in their business. I would definitelt stay there again, and highly recommend. Great value for the rate!
