I hired Raymond to provide some cement sidewalk and walkways for us, we agreed on a firm price, shook hands and drew up a contract to which he signed it. The service was completed on time. During which I paid him all in cash. $3650. He told me that he has been doing concrete for close to 50 years. I was happy about that because I figured I was getting a professional. Raymond ended up leaving some equipment behind for 5 days in my back yard, at that point I gathered all the used forms, extra trash that he had brought to the job (?) and I set it by his equipment so that he could take it with him. When he finally decided to pick up his equipment, he left all the trash behind. Again it included trash that had nothing to do with the job. That day he had called me to work, telling me that he needed more money because the cement truck had been parked a long time at the site and it cost him per hour. I calmly told him that we had an agreement as far as compensation.
