I visited the church for help with some food and/clothing. I am on a limited income and need help on occasion. This was the first time for me. I was really thankful for the food they provided and I don't mean to sound ungrateful but some of it had to be thrown out. There were many expired items and, although that is not necessarily a bad thing, it was in this case. I had two packages of Turkey breasts that I really wanted to use but they were so bad they stunk up the fridge. I had soms cans of fruits and veggies that were badly dented on a seam or around the top and bottom. I was unsure if I should use these or not. I was pretty disappointed that the needy were being given things like this. I guess people figure if you're hungry you'll eat anything. But I don't want to get sick either.
