My name is Courtney Cox and I am the owner of Wiz Kid Tutoring, and I am currently the only tutor.  I am an education major and attended North Greenville University.  I love teaching and feel that it is a calling I have been given in my life.  I am also a wife and a mom to a beautiful baby boy.  I am thrilled that I am able to stay at home with my son and still teach. 

How I got started in tutoring is a unique story all on its own.  I was five months pregnant with my son and finishing my last semester in school when I found out Joseph had a birth defect that would need treating as soon as he was born.  The only treatment that offered survival for him was in Florida, so my husband and I has to pick up and move in a days notice.  Joseph was born in December and had surgery the following day.  We spent two and a half months in the NICU and finally came home February 28, 2011.  Joseph has numerous doctors appointments and therapies that he goes to on a reqular basis; therefore, I wanted something I could do to help my family but still stay at home with my son.  This is how Wiz Kid Tutoring came to be.  Even though I didn't graduate from college (yet)  I did pass all of my state certification exams.  I consider myself to be a teacher and I will be hapy to show my Praxis scores to any person that wants to see them.  I will finish school one day, but my family comes first and my love is tutoring.  I love interacting with my students one on one.  It gives me the chance to really help them succeed!
