Drove from Las Vegas to Tehachapi just to go to the open house" what a disappointing trip. First I had to spend 50.00 on gas than 100.00 for a hotel room 50.00 on over priced food in town So all excited to go to the open house I was there right at 10 am to find nothing more than a store that had over priced trains. NOTHING SPECIAL!!! I am sure I would find exactly the same items any day of the week here. So what was so special about this weekend? No coffee , water, donuts, no invite to a BBQ later or cocktails. NOTHING! Would I go back.to it...NO nor would I recommend it to any one. If you are looking for a specific train yes they have it..but don't make a special trip down for an open house that they do nothing extra to entice you. What a waste of my time and money.
