We just found this gem of a town, Tehachapi California. My wife and i just left Pismo Beach at five this morning heading back to Georgia.
We found Tehachapi, a beautiful town tucked in the middle of mountains and hills on all sides.

I found a place for us to get coffee and pastries, Tea Donuts. Tea Donuts is on the end of a small strip mall, behind Jack in the Box.

Once I walked into the Tea Donuts I was fifty percent on my way to writing a Yelp. We were nothing but smiles. There was a generous selection of pastries, and they were considerably larger than I can remember seeing in other bakeries.

We were greeted by Chantha. What a beautiful smile on this friendly woman. She made leaving Tehachapi difficult.

To get my write up, I have to taste the items I've chosen first. We chose the Apple Turnover, Cinnamon Twist and a Pecan danish. I can't remember the name of the pecan Danish. But all three choices were delicious.

The coffee is important to us. If you have good coffee, we'll be back. The coffee was excellent.

We ate only half of our pastries. In a couple of hours, when we sit for a break, the other half will make our memory of Tehachapi last.

Chantha, thank you. Because of you, and Tea Donuts, of course, Tehachapi will be one of our Five Star Stops.
