Provided by YP.comThis John character is one of the worst business men I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After speaking with him and sending in photos of the parts I wanted blasted and coated, he quoted me $1000 dollars for the job.
I agreed and had some parts delivered to the shop. As my parts were being delivered they were closing shop for lunch and didn't even have the courtesy to accept the parts from the person dropping them off as they locked the doors and walked away. This should have been a clue to high-tail it out of there.
Instead, I let it go and had the parts dropped off at a neighbor for him to pick up for blasting and coating.
After blasting the hood and tailgate a day after it was promised, I got the call that it would be $250.00 JUST FOR THE BLASTING! Clearly, this is not what we had discussed.
John and I had a couple of discussions on the phone about the "New" price he is forcing on me to get the parts, and along the way he expressed to me that I could just pay whatever I wanted for them and pick them up. I said $200.00, which was more than fair as I know it wouldn't take any more than 2 hours for an average monkey to blast a hood and tailgate from a jeep.
John later sent me an email requesting the $250 for the parts. This guy just cant make up his mind what he's going to charge for a job he has already quoted.
Being completely fed up with John's shenanigans, I offered him what the cost should have been for the blasting $150.00. He rejected and I told him he could hang them on the wall for an ornament.
Enjoy the parts John. I'd rather pay triple for a new hood than give you one cent for this unscrupulous business deal.
It is sure funny how after all of the banter you finally get honest and say it was a couple of hours to blast. a couple at $75.00 per = $150.00
Be honest with your clients, and not raise the price as you get the parts in your possession.
This is an economy for good service and honest business deals.
Good luck to you with your antics.
To the unhappy customer, I am still more than willing to have you pick up these parts. as I said on the phone before you started using foul language. I charge $75.00 per hour to blast. It took 3.25 hours to blast. so the cost is 243.75. I feel that that you are just looking to get something for free. Even Monkeys know that when you blast sheet metal you have to go very slow so you don't warp the sheet metal. That was the whole reason for blasting two pieces so that we could determine the cost to do the whole car..... Remember
