Karen Garby, MD, a native of New Jersey, moved to Palm Springs, California, with her family, then to Toronto, Canada, where she attended high school. She majored in microbiology at the University of Georgia and received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, both in Athens. Dr. Garby completed a radiology residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, and her interventional vascular fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. At Case Western she was a staff member involved in resident teaching and training. She and her husband moved to Phoenix in 1997 and have one daughter. While she has been practicing interventional radiology for 17 years, Dr. Garby has specialized in the treatment of superficial and deep veins over the past 10 years.
