Please do not do business with these people. You are better off going to a buy-here-pay-here business. Seriously. This company has no ethics, breaks and bedns consumer laws and uses threatening tactics to its debitors. The interest rate is through the roof and although you might feel impressed by a company offering bad credt buyers a siny new car, you are paying about 4 times its worth. In fact, I have specific details of them purchasing vehicle from auctions for example $5k and towing stright to thier lot and putting a $20K price on it without even checking it out- then the buyer somes along with LIMITED warranty, overpays and has no protection. PLEASE- do not deal with them. There will be more word of consumer action soon- keep an eye out on the web.

I would only recommend if this is a LAST result! I would try Buy Here Pay Here Lots first. We got approved for a van, but no matter the vehicle, they still wanted $2000 Down, and we would still have an large outstanding balance to payoff. Long story short--better to go with a buy here pay here lot, put $2000 down and only have $1500 left to make monthly payments. As I stated, use only as a last result. Be sure to READ the contract--long term payments and bi-monthly (every two weeks) payments at that so leaves no room in case something comes up (ie: flat tire, unexpected expense) you still will be expected to make a payment every two weeks.

I would recommend checking out buy here pay here places before going to drivetime, They are great during the purcasing process but have terrible contracts. It seems like no matter what the cost of the car is the payment will not be less then 190.00 every two weeks. Just read the contract it has details that they can get away with.

Long story short... Bought a car from DriveTime. Made ALL the Payments on time and paid more than what was due each time. Had the car for 4 months. Car broke down. DriveTime reffered me to Warranty Dept. Warranty Dept Reffered us to a repair shop. Repair shop submitted request to fix. Drivetime denied request. Went back and forth for 2wks while our car was at the shop. Have warranty in black and white stating this problem was covered. Shop said it was 500.00 to fix PLUS I'd better not be late on that weeks payment of nearly 200.00. Voluntarily gave DriveTime back their POS after paying shop 40 fee. Currently getting information together to sue them and guess what...DriveTime has no record of our vehicle ever being in the shop OR having any mechanical problems!!! Oh, and once again they said our car was owned by one little old lady down in Bradenton/Sarasota. Hahahaha DriveTime Employee above... you are sad! Eventually they will be out of business and you will be out of a job!

The people there are great to work with. Ron the Sales Manager is a best guy to work with.

I purchased a car from there and it broke down in 5 months and the mechanic in there shop told me it isn't the first nor the last. They wanted 6,000 for repairs and drive time wouldn't do anything about it instead they were very rude. I'll never buy another car from them.
