Gililland Junior High School, opened in 1964, is a public school that is named for Clyde Gililland. It maintains various school organizations, including a school council and parent-teacher association. The school s staff includes counselors, speech pathologists, librarians, psychologists, computer technicians, instructional assistants, custodians, special educators, and math and reading interventionists. Gililland Junior High School conducts special classes in art, band, ceramics, choir, computer applications, life management, orchestra and Spanish.
