Provided by YP.comA railroad museum that is modest in scope, but what it does, it does very well. The staff was notably friendly, which is always nice. The building itself, a former train depot, appears to be in great condition. I learned a lot of Central Texas history by studying the exhibits. As for actual railroad engines and cars, there was one caboose you could go in, which kids always enjoy (as do I). The once-mighty steam engine has seen better days, but at least they are keeping paint on it. The museum is easily worth the $4 admission.
A flyer of we were given at Mother Neff State Park made it sound like a model railroad layout is part of the museum, but that is not true. It was in an adjacent building, but was closed.
