Joink provides dial-up and broadband Internet access and technology services to businesses and consumers across the Wabash Valley region. It serves approximately 12,000 customers across Indiana and Illinois and operates one of the ten largest fixed- wireless broadband networks in the nation. Founded in 1999, the Terre Haute, Ind., -based company was an early pioneer in the fixed-wireless broadband space, and has served as a champion for providing Internet access to the residents of the rural communities it serves. Joink provides residential dial-up service with nationwide coverage and operates its fixed-wireless network in the unlicensed spectrum at 900MHz and 2.4GHz. It also services a large base of businesses and enterprises across its service area offering fixed-wireless and DSL broadband, dedicated access solutions, Web hosting, network consulting and Web design services.
