I am appalled by the previous review left by a parent who obviously has no clue what respect and responsibility means. My son goes here and has achieved his first degree black belt. He is also Indiana State champion and DISTRICT champion. All of this was achieved with the direct teaching from Chief Master Minton. I have nothing but respect for the Mintons and would have no issue recommending them to anyone.

PARENTS PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!BEWARE OF MINTONS ATA ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!! Or make sure you do your homework before you sign on of their contracts(they will NOT tell you that what your signing is a contract and the paperwork is very misleading READ THE FINE PRINT!!! Also make sure you leave nothing blank and get copies of everything because mrs minton will fill it in herself!!! They forget to mention all the extra charges included estimated $700 for REQUIRED weapons in my case as well as many other charges. the classes are huge and there is no one on one time with the kids. All they care about is getting your child to the next rank which is done every 2 months this is done weather your kid knows the form or not they will take your money and advance your child just so they can charge you for the new belt weapons ect..My child was out sick then we had a family emergency so he missed a lot of classes when he got back it was time for their 2 month testing my son didnt know any of the form they had just taught but they advanced him anyway and charged me. Its not just me its the ATA they are a franchise that cares only about money if you want to spend a load of cash for your child to learn watered down taekwondo go ahead....if you dont believe me check it out yourself the ATA and its schools have outraged complaints and rip off reports filed all over the USA. Mintons Black Belt academy is no exception they are as mcdojo as they come watch out!!!
