Went in on a Saturday, first visit, met the owner. Everyone was super nice; we bought a lot of stuff; and, some goat was special ordered because we were the second ones asking for it that day. We were SO excited to discover this place. I called the following Friday to see if the goat was in and if I needed to reserve it for next-day pick up. The man on the phone was very short with me from the moment he answered, telling me I had to buy the whole goat, which was fine with me. I said, though, that I was told there were other customers interested in it too (as I wouldn't have wanted to take the whole animal if another customer was wanting part of it, and the owner spoke Saturday about splitting it up for sale.) At that point, he hung up on me.
I called back and spoke to the owner (the nice man from Saturday). I said I was just hung up on, and instead of asking what happened and how he could help, he said, "yeah, he said you were rude" and preceeded to lay into me about not knowing what was wrong with me or my day that made me so rude, but they didn't have time to deal with the likes of me.
I cooled off and called about 45 minutes later to figure out what happened, because we had been so impressed on the previous Saturday and wanted to give these local folks our business. The owner seemed more apologetic and friendly, saying it was a busy day for them, but he would be willing to sell only part of the animal. I told him either way was fine. (He had my business back at that point.) He then proceeded to excuse their previous behavior because I had been/was being argumentative and just wanting to turn a simply thing into a big deal. I know they have great reviews on other sites, as it relates to customer service, but that was my experience.

I picked up my order, about 1 hour later the lady working called and left me a voicemail stating when we went thru the order she forgot to put a sack of links in my cooler. She said my name was on it. Well I'm busy as all get out and it then took me about 6 weeks to find time to get back to the store. I called just to make sure and explain the situation. Well the owner called me shady, said I was stealing. Made up stories about how this wasn't possible. All while I have a voice mail stating she forgot to put bag in my cooler and she left it behind the counter. Like in the other post the owner was ignorant, talked down to me and got very personal. Plenty of good ther places cleaner and nicer then this place.

Never again!! I was somewhat satisfied with my game processing, even though they had to correct several items when I picked up, until I had some questions about the yield I received after processing. Went back to inquire with the owner and he refused to speak to me in a professional manner to address my concerns. He said he wouldn't discuss it and demanded that I leave, and threatened to call the police on me. Very unprofessional.

I purposely went in with the mindset of simply inquiring if he thought that what I received was proper yield for what I brought in, 4 hams, 3 shoulders, neck, back straps, etc. He became quite defensive and refused to discuss it. As I left he was rambling about not wanting to do game processing any more and that I wouldn't have to deal with him in the future because he was selling out to his cousin in a couple of months. I can't make this stuff up, lol. So, if you're thinking of going here, DON'T!!

I have bought meat from severa...

I have bought meat from several places and most of the time it has been terrible. Most of the meat had no taste and talk about tuff, my dogs ate well for a while. I get tired of going to the grocery store to buy meats I’ve not been impressed with. I was raised on fresh beef and pork and just wanted to fine a good quality of meat and a place that provide good service to their costumers. I went into Gorman’s thinking well will give it a try, I wants to optimistic. To my surprise the second I walked in the door they treated me with curtsey and were very helpful to me that was very impressive. The meat is excellent I’ve found a place to buy meats and they even do special orders. Thank you Gorman’s
