I hired Robert and his partner/worker (whatever he is ) Shane to install and finish 822 square feet of drywall at a water damage insurance job in Oxford. He was also hired to paint over 5,000 square feet of drywall after his hanging and finishing were complete. We agreed on the price I was offering and I hired them as subs. I received numerous complaints from the project manager at the property over their arrival time and lack of timely progress. On more than one occasion they were no shows at my job because they were supposedly painting a house in Tupelo and were needing to finish it. I guess my job wasn't as important. The job fell further and further behind until I receive a call on 02/18/14 from Robert stating that they could not paint the job as agreed because a worker had quit and they were behind on the Tupelo job. I told him to finish the drywall portion and my painters could handle it. When I informed him that the draw he had received the week before was the total amount for the drywall work, he immediately informed me that he would not finish even the portion of the job he had been paid for. I had to reassign my own workers to finish the drywall work at my own expense. The bottom line for me is McClure caused me damages and failed to finish the job after all this time.
