Eclectic Styles



A combination restaurant and hotel, Cousins’ has a well-arranged variety of themes. When asked, the manager says the restaurant is styled as a “Country, Family” type of theme. My take on it is that Cousins’ is a delightful, eclectic collection of many styles. That is, no one theme seems to be dominant as some restaurants will do to make their mark as the “trendy” place to be. Inside Cousins’, there’s just the right amount of eye candy to explore, and framed articles to read, that keeps my interest while waiting for a delicious meal that’s served in very generous proportions, just the way we Americans like it. One such item was an article on Steam Locomotives which always stokes my nostalgic reverence for the engineering of the time. I ate in the, “Milk House” section designed in the 50’s Diner style. Juxtaposed to the eclectic and pleasing styles of the interior, Cousins’ meals are very unique. As my first impression of their interior was overwhelming, so was my meal starting with my own personal loaf of bread served with its own cutting board. I could’ve definitely “fill up on bread” if I didn’t pace myself during the short wait time for the entre. They’re obviously as proud of their food as they are of their interior. Even the multi-colored sugar is uniquely chosen. After my meal, I visited their well-stocked gift shop as well. There’s a lot of history, a lot of style, a lot of quality, and a lot of hospitality to spare at Cousins’ Restaurant.

With a greeting of "Hi cousin," by our friendly server we knew we had made the correct choice in Road Trip Restaurant Roulette for our family of 5.



The down home menu (including all-day breakfast) had enough variety to please even our pickiest eater, but wasn't large enough to overwhelm.



The quality of the food was decent - not great. I would stop here again with my family and even though they had a full bar with some tasty sounding libations, I wouldn't head here for a night out with friends.
