Fort Dalles Museum is housed in the 1856 Surgeon's Quarters once part of Fort Dalles. It was opened as a history museum in 1905 by the local chapter of the Sorosis Club and is one of Oregon's oldest museums. Adjacent to the Museum is the Anderson Homestead built by Swedish Settlers in the late 1880's and moved to its current site in the 1970's. Today you can tour the Swedish Log Cabin, Privy, Granary and Barn.
