Founded in 1910, Coachella Valley High School serves students from grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students and it offers a wide range of subjects, such as English, mathematics, physical and health education, science and social sciences. Its vocational education department offers classes in wood manufacturing, cabinet making, furniture making, engineering and architecture. Its courses include computer technology foundations, technology enrichment, and introduction to electronic media and studio production, and it also offers advancement via individual determination programs. The school also promotes community development projects, including civic, social and student volunteer service. It is part of Coachella Valley Unified School district and is located in Thermal, Calif.
