Thetford Academy, founded in 1819, is an independent, coeducational institution that serves more than 350 students in grades seven through 12. It offers a variety of academic subjects, such as art, foreign languages, literature, social sciences, computers, health and physical education, science, mathematics and technology education. The academy offers various athletic activities, including cross country, soccer, basketball, skiing, softball, baseball, track and field and golf. Its library has a large collection of books, newspapers, magazines, periodicals, electronic resources and other reference materials. Thetford Academy is approved by the Independent Schools Commission of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The academy is located in Thetford, Vt.
