Provided by YP.comI have been taking my car to Quiet Zone for a two years now, since I moved to CT. I didn't see that awful review first. But I plan to continue to keep going because I get a sense of trust from these people. My car needed work and the prices lined up with what is expected (I asked my brother in another state who works as a manager at repair place - I always check with him for car stuff because I am afraid of getting ripped off. I always have driven older cars and always have been on a tight budget so I ask car repair places to call me before they go ahead with work. I also asked which work was okay to wait for, and they told me, and my brother agreed.
Also my car lighter (I need for GPS) keeps shorting out and they keep resetting it at no cost for me. Which I appreciate.
Anyway, I plan to keep going here (oil change tomorrow and later this year a muffler) because, like I said, I trust these people. (And I have to wonder if there may be more to that other person's story).

Provided by YP.comBack in 2003, I brought my car here to have a head gasket replaced. I knew it was the head gasket as I had the problem checked by a friend using starter fluid to find a leak around the gasket itself. I also had it checked by Jay Pahl of Jay Pahl's Auto sales on Stafford Avenue in Bristol. He confirmed it was indeed a head gasket. I checked the prices for a new head gasket and I found that they ran about $800.00 for my car and so I saved it up and dropped off the car to be repaired. The next day, I called to see how my car was coming along only to find that they did over $800.00 worth of repairs that I did not authorize. They never fixed the initial problem which was the head gasket so, I picked up my car and refused to pay for it.
They brought me to court on the TV Show "People's Court" and the Judge sided with them saying that it was an old car and that I should have expected other things to go wrong. In Connecticut, it is ILLEGAL to do work which is unauthorized but, that didn't faze the Judge in the slightest.
She no longer has her program. I complained to some Department of Justice in New York. I forgot which one it was. I went through Consumer Protection though but, there was someone else I made a formal complaint to also.
These people are rip off artists and I have found that the courts will side with them even if the law was broken. I CERTAINLY do NOT recommend going to these thieves.
