The Hillsborough County School Board, a part of Hillsborough County Public Schools, is responsible for the organization and control of various public schools under the school district. It develops and implements a range of policies for the effective operation and improvement of school systems. The board conducts several meetings on topics related to budget, infrastructure development and financial management. It develops various programs that focus on the reduction of harassment, bullying and aggression in school students. The Hillsborough County School Board additionally works to increase promotion rates at all grade levels and percentage of high school graduates, as well as recruits and retains work force for various schools.
