I rented a Penske truck from this location back in September 2012 and had one of the worst experiences I have ever had when renting a truck. The day I picked up the truck, they had all of the paperwork ready by the time I got there, which I thought was nice. The two men working that day were actually friendly and helpful. They did not walk me around the truck though and just told me it was parked next to the building and they already did their inspection. I trusted them as they do this for a living and would surely note any damage on the truck. I did a quick walk around myself and didn’t notice anything major wrong with the truck. When I got back to return the truck, I was greeted by a different man who was angry and a smart a** from the minute I met him. He immediately went to a spot on the truck and firmly accused me of crashing the truck! Almost as if he knew exactly where to go. There was a 1 foot scratch in the aluminum that was obviously there all along as it had dirt covering it up. He was sure that I had crashed the tuck and started talking to me like I was a criminal. I followed him inside where I was rudely greeted by a woman who was the other owner of the property. She then began to jump down my throat too and told me I CRASHED their truck! I explained to them that no one walked me around the truck and that scratch was there all along. I said this is a big mis understanding and asked that they both calm down and treat me respectfully, the both started yelling again and called me a liar telling me that I should have gotten insurance on the truck to cover this. I have rented over 30 trucks like this over my life and have never got the insurance because I have a CDL and drive truck for a living. Not to mention my American Express covers any damage, had I actually done some. They both took turns telling me how I was a liar and they were certain I crashed the truck. I finally got them to look through old files and surprise, surprise; the damage was there from a previous rental! I never got an apology or any kind of remorse from them for interrogating me and accusing me. They just stopped talking after that and handed me my receipt. This was the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life and would encourage anyone not to do business with these people and go to another Penske leasing center. They also run a storage center out of this location and I couldn’t imagine how they treat those customers. They are two of the most disrespectful people I have met and still have nightmares about my experience there.
