Dr. Kamell received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He then received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York NY. Following his medical internship at UC Irvine, Dr. Kamell completed his dermatology residency at UCLA. He opened his private practice in Thousand Oaks in 1976 and also kept his affiliation with UCLA teaching skin surgery to the dermatology residents for several years. Dr. Kamell is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Board of Laser Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Society of Mohs Surgery, a member of the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatology Surgery, the California Medical Association, the Ventura County Medical Society and the San Fernando Valley Dermatology society. Dr. Kamell’s interests in dermatology include all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology with an emphasis on treating and curing skin cancer including Mohs Micrographic Surgery. His practice also includes cosmetic dermatology for BOTOX®, Dysport®, Restylane®, JUVEDERM®, Laser Procedures, IPL and Chemical Peels. During the course of his years in Thousand Oaks, Dr. Kamell and his wife have had the pleasure of raising 4 children who all live in Southern CA. His hobbies and interests include tennis, golf and fishing.
