Well several Old Fort alumni's visited T J. 's Sat. night June 26th 2012 and we enjoyed the food and spirits while sitting out on the patio, Even the staff was efficient and very friendly. Good job T.J.'s

Being from out of town, I asked the clerk at our hotel about some restaurants. I asked for something like an Applebee's. She suggested TJ Willie's. The outside dining area looked very nice and I think would have been a nice choice if it wasn't almost 90 degrees. We opted for inside dining. It was not very crowded on this Saturday evening and we were seated immediately. The decor was very nice and more upscale than I thought it would be. The only complaint I have for this place were the chairs. I don't think all the chairs were like ours though. We had round soda shop chairs without much padding - a little uncomfortable after a while. Anyway, I had the char grilled red salmon with rice and veggies (green beans). It was one of the best pieces of salmon I have ever had! And the rice was perfect and flavorful as were the green beans. The honey butter on the warm bread was excellent also. The wife ordered the lasagna and it was the best tasting lasagna either of us had ever had. I hope I have a chance to come close to Tiffin again some day, because I will definitely go back to TJ Willie's.

The $8 half-plate salmon salad served in a soup dish had a single thin slice of tomato and small pre-packaged salmon square on a bed of lettuce covered with a sharp cheddar cheese. The salmon had a strong chemical taste that made me physically ill. The chemical order and taste remained with me well into the next day despite brushing. The staff indicated potential unfavorable problem with the pre-packaged salmon. I was able to eat most of the lettuce, leaving the salmon after the first two small bites. Those in our company said their steaks were good. Not a good experience.

Excellent food, great service. Very reasonable prices. Ribs were fall off the bone - make sure you try their frys. Our new favorite Tiffin restaurant.
