Great place

My daughter made homecoming court this year2012! After shopping a few places around south ga area and not finding exactly what my daughter was looking for we gave it one last shot before going to atl. We had friends who recommended this place to us. The place is huge, one O the largest I have been to yet. Many varieties we got to choose from, and the young lady helping us was very helpful in pulling dresses in the style my daughter wanted.. Maybe a little too much seeing that we already had plenty to try it was a little overwhelming. The owner would come check on us every few minutes and give us prices. Betty was quite helpful in keeping us on our budget price and cut up with us. It was a lot of fun even joking when we decided on a dress asking, so is this yes to the dress? Hehe anyways we did end up purchasing a white court dress and even a short Sherri hill dress! I will definitely remember this store when prom arrives. Other than them pulling too many dresses, and it was quite busy in there it was over all great!

DO NOT GO THERE. Betty - the owner- is very rude, hides fees, especially if you pay with a credit card over the phone. And a bride and groom should not be put thru such torture the day before and the day of the wedding when all preperations were taken for orders in advance. The bride chose a specific tux for the groomsmen and for the groom, but when they arrived- not correct. Betty didn't care. There were even buttons missing on one fo them- still Betty didn't care. She is rude and ugly on the phone. Makes snide comments to you. And when I called to complain about the tux purchase (which was more than it should be- all the groomsmen were charged different amounts for the same tux) I also stressed the complaint of the wedding party... she blamed everything and I mean everything on the brides choices. Nothing was her mistake or her fault. And not one time did she apologize for anything - oh and told me I was charged the correct amount- her "extra" fee was because I used a credit card over the phone. Well heck I'm out of town what do you expect. Point is she didn't tell me about this charge. And when she said it was a % of the total amount- the math didn't even add up for what I was charged. Oh and worst of all .... she had the balls to hang up me! Apparently not the 1st time from what I've been told and what I have read in reviews. For the lack of a better expression- She is a pitiful business woman!!! I will never do business there again nor will I recommend her shop to anyone!!!! .

I visited Bridal and Gift Gall...

I visited Bridal and Gift Gallery on April 4, 2008 with a friend. I will be a bridesmaid in the friends wedding. I was notified last week that the dress were in and that the remaining balance needed to be paid. I called Monday to pay for remaining balance and spoke with Betty

She took the card number and also reinterated that the remaining balance was $101.65 which is what is on my receipt. I agreed that was correct and the call was ended. Today, Thursday 07/17/2008 I reviewed my credit card history and noticed my card was charged by Bridal and Gift Gallery for $105.71. This is $4.06 more than what I was told would be charged. I called to speak with the owner, Betty and was told that was an extra percentage charged by her credit card machine vendor that was charged to my card due to the card beinging given via telephone. I let her know that she did not tell me there would be any extra charges and that should be a charge that she is responsible for since it was a vendor charging her. She was VERY ugly to me on the phone and basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. She told me to call her bank if I didn't like it and hung up on me. I am making this complaint because of the way I was treated when calling to question the amount. I never would have had to make the call if she had told me on the phone when I made the payment there would be an extra charge for paying via phone.





I believe that if she is going to charge customers the percentage she is charged that she should disclose that information when payments are made. Also, when a complaint is made about here busy she should handle it in a professional manner. She was very ugly and the hung up on me. I will NEVER purchase anything from the business again. If I had a choice I wouldn't have purchased this dress. She was very rude and unconcerned about me when I went to try the dress on in April. She new she was getting the business from this wedding party and didn't really care how she treated us. Not to mention, she didn't even order the correct veil for the bride and then wouldn't refund her money.
