South Rabun Elementary School is part of the Rabun County School District and is based in Tiger, Ga. The school serves more than 450 students in grades prekindergarten through grade two. The school provides special education in speech, language and developing communication skills. The school also offers special educational programs for students with physical disabilities. Its counseling program covers a variety of topics, such as social skills, conflict resolution, study skills and career awareness. The school s media center allows students to study and conduct research and opportunity to participate in a variety of library activities and classes. Established in 1940, South Rabun Elementary School was originally named Tiger Elementary School.
