Provided by YP.comWe have been using Canyon Crossroads for our animals for over 20 years. They continue to update equipment for better diagnostic techniques. We have never been rushed through our appointment and even after surgery Canyon Crossroads has called to make sure our animal was doing well. We are obviously VERY happy with our experiences with Canyon Crossroads and ALL of the great staff there.

Provided by YP.comSeriously disappointing - lack of compassion and care. I took my four year old lab-shepherd into Canyon Crossroads because she hurt her hind leg when jumping into the car. While the staff was cheerful and friendly, Dr. Reaves took about five minutes to examine my dog, announced that she needed a $6000 surgery, and then promptly left the exam room. No detailed explanations of the injury, no discussion about alternative treatments. I would have liked to have had the injury clarified so I could understand the nature of the damage. Pet owners like me, who don’t have an extensive medical knowledge, are at a disadvantaged when communicating with hurried vets. I'm obviously not a doctor, but I'm an architect, and I am able to grasp the concepts behind how things work if only she would have taken the time to explain. Her hasty and tactless communication ruined this relationship between vet and pet owner, compromising any hope for trust. To top it off, about five minutes later a vet tech came back into the exam room with the bill and some papers printed from the Internet. The tech basically said - -“here’s some information on the surgery, the doctor is too busy to discuss it with you now so you can go online and look it up”. OMG!
One more thing. I also got a two week NSAID prescription for my dog, which was supposed to be 28 pills = 2 x a day for 14 days. The prescription cost $70, which maths out to $2.50 a pill. Anyway, I asked the tech to count out the pills to make sure all 28 were in there, the bottle came up 7 pills short! Thats almost $18 of medicine missing. Geez. Incompetent or just a rip off? Not going back to find out.

Provided by YP.comMy family has used Canyon Crossroads multiple times, and most recently my dog that had been fighting Lymphoma had to be put down there. I cannot say enough about the friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff. We had doctor Reaves and she is the best most caring vet I have ever experienced. I recommend this place to everyone. They are also very affordable.
