Greg is one the nicest guys in the world and has a terrific selection of Quality Rods and reels. If your a fly fisherman and you live in the south suburbs this is the spot you need to go to if you don't already to get your supplies and hand tied flies. Greg has an encyclopedic knowledge of fishing and will always help you out with any questions you might have and give you the best tips to make your fishing experience a success. Terrific selection of big game lures for Musky and Pike which can be difficult to find. Every time I go into his shop I see new things and always have a great conversation. Furthermore it always seems that others arrive and cant help themselves to start talking about fishing and different tactics and techniques. An atmosphere of collegiality is ever-present and novice and pro alike are always sharing what they know. A true south suburbs fishing institution.



Support your local privately owned Bait and Tackle shops and forgo the big box stores that offer nothing but junk and personnel that couldn't answer a question if their life depended on it.

Fishing connection is a small tackle shop that carries only the best of what you need for whatever fishing you're going to be doing. IF they don't have what you need - they will get it. Greg, the owner behind the counter is extremely nice as well as knowledgeable about any fishing you might be doing - unlike the big box stores. His prices are just as low and even lower on certain items than them as well. I won't even bother going anywhere else for tackle, this is a great small, personable shop that will take care of you. If you become a regular customer, he will take great care of you and even throw in a lure or some free line on a new reel - try that a the big box stores. This place is the best. Too bad there aren't small shops like this around anymore.
