Provided by YP.comI had stopped in to speak to someone about purchasing a firearm several times, and was met with consistent answers across the entire team. After placing my online order, I went in the pick up my new firearm and was met, yet again, with fantastic service. I asked what was needed to maintain and safely store my weapon, even though I was not purchasing everything at once. They gave me a discount on some of my accessories as a thank you for my business.
I try and buy local as often as I can, and sometimes you don't get as many accommodations for doing so. In this case, I feel like I was treated better than any corporate store would have in a similar situation. Pricing was fair, staff was helpful, and I will definitely be back for myself and referring other patrons to them. Thanks guys!

Provided by YPmobileI bought a Beretta Nano from here and talked the salesman down from $599 to $549 thinking I was getting a deal. I bought the gun without doing much research, which I rarely do. Anyways, when I get home, I look at the prices on line for their shop and see it listed for $440. I then emailed Fred and questioned the price difference. He replies stating that gun prices now are crazy and $549 is a fair price. The next day, I went to pick up the gun and head to the range at Rink's in Lockport. I check the price on the Nano at Rink's upon arrival and see it priced at $410!!!!! What a joke!!!! I will never buy from Freddie Bear's again and will advise anyone else to do the same. Also don't forget that you will pay a $25 "tax" in Cook county for purchasing a firearm there. Definitely not helping Freddie Bear there!!!!!

Provided by YP.comStay away! I brought my first bow there but when I brought it back to get it restrung and they couldn't even do that. They put the string on the runners backwards plus attached the D loop about 2" higher than center so the arrow hit the ground 10 feet in front of me. I brought it back for them to redo it but it was still wrong so I brought it to another bow shop. I also bought a used gun there through gunbroker but when I went to pick it up it was obviously not in shootable condition dispite the description of being in good shape. They cancelled the transaction but don't they look at the guns before they write the descriptions? I really tried to give them my business because they are a local merchant but never again will I return.

Provided by YP.comThanks to Fred, and the helpful staff working there. Went to sell a couple of guns there this weekend. As much as I hated to do it. He gave me a good deal, and understanding that they run a buisness too, and buys them at re-sale and having to make a profit. I am happy with everything, and knowing that I brought them to a safe place, and not having them wind up on the street and not get any money for them at all. I will always come back there as long as he's open. Thanks again for all the help!
