This is by far the worst restaurant in town. The prices for their food is way out of kilter. The food is low, low quality and poorly prepared.
What a major disappointment!

Customer service was the worst. My order was a to go (on lunch break) food was horrible, order was wrong. Called to speak to manager a woman by the name of Lupa was so rude. So I can in to speak to and let him know my order was wrong, and I just wanted what I ordered no discount. Dan said he would not remake food and its not his fault so there is not anything he could do. I told him this was the worse customer service ever. To my surprise he agreed, But he then offered to take my $18 meal back and refund me $3.95. WILL NEVER GO BACK. MANGER DAN WAS THE RUDEST.

The quality of the shrimp has changed they now use the pink shrimp and not the gray shrimp. I was very displeased on my last visit the pink shrimp served was very TOUGH and DRY. I spoke to the manager a couple of days later because it did not sit well with me and I was not going to let it go. I spent $70.00 in their establishment and was very dissatisfied.The manager Lupe at the Tinley Park location just apologized and told me I waited to late to complain and that she could do nothing. With their prices I would of at least expected her to invite me back for a meal at no cost. I WILL NOT RETURN.

While at Hamada's bar waiting for my drink I see the spout from the bottle actually disconnect from the bottle and fall into my drink. The bartender removed the spout from the drink, topped with cherries and placed the drink in front of me. I replied - "I'm not drinking that. I saw the cap fall in." With in attitude, she made another drink. I was only at the bar because I was waiting to be seated. Now, I wonder what other nastiness is going on. While they do have good food, I won't risk returning.

Asked dick head mgr. if could eat of the children's menu due to my having surgery and he told me that they do not support this request. I had no problem with their policy, but I had a problem with his arrogance in his reply. I will never eat here again and I will support local businesses with my money !!!!! A-Fusion was very understanding with my procedure !!!!!

In response to Hidden Racism's review, WOW...I haven't been to this restaurant in a few years. But the last time I went was with a few childhood friends and I actually enjoyed the food better than the first time I ate there. My husband wanted to go there for our wedding anniversary, but if they treat African Americans like we don't deserve to eat there, then we can take our business and celebration somewhere else. Hopefully that particular manager doesn't manage that restaurant anymore.

his job nor upset our celebration. was in area the next day and spoke to management who called me a LIAR and said he didn't care and wanted me to tell everybody I knew not to patronize them because he did not want "MY KIND" in his restaurant. IM AFRICAN AMERICAN.

I have heard that the food here is good from many friends, but they must not have any taste buds. I recently went and was highly disappointed once I walked in the door by a foul odor. At first I thought it was the water in the indoor pond but after ordering our food I noticed the spider webs on the blinds, dead bugs on the window sill, filthy carpets, dirty walls, and filthy unkept bathrooms. I was confused if it was the pond or the rest of the place. The whole restaurant needs to be remodeled! Now let's talk about the food! Not good! I didn't go into the main restaurant to eat (I did notice the filthy carpet in there too) but went into the sushi bar instead. We only ordered four sushi rolls that were sloppy to look at and tasted as bad as they looked. The miso soup was very good but not good enough to ever go back for just soup. I can't believe that the place was as crowded as it was in the main restaurant. I must be the only person who checks out the rest of the restaurant to see how they take care of it. If it is that bad in my eye sight, how bad is what I can't see like the kitchen? Overall the prices were more than my usual sushi spot. My server was a on the ball when my water was empty but spilled it all over the floor while giving me a refill. I'd never go back to the main restaurant even if I did not have to pay because of this experience. Take warning and stay away!!!!

The chef was great as well as the food as a first timer,overall experience wonderful!

I work in Tinley Park and eat at Hamada for lunch at least once a month. The lunch prices are not bad, you get a ton of food and I never want to leave to come back to work! They are good at getting us in and out quickly, but the food always still tastes great!

I was there with friends and my friend ordered a drink, they brought the wrong drink, 20 minutes later the waiter brought the right drink, my friend didn't think she should pay for it, wanted to speak to the manager, manager didn't want to speak with her. We spent almost $200 to eat at this place and the manager blew us off like we weren't good enough to waste his precious time with! How many Japanese restaurants have Mexicans cooking Japanese food, If I go to a Japanese restaurant to eat, I expect to see someone Japanese cooking, we weren't in a mexican restaurant. If you go to a soul food restaurant, I'm sure you would want to see someone of color preparing the meal, and same with any other type of restaurant. I am sick of being stereotyped by prejudice people who look different than they. The cook wasn't that great, he burnt more food than he served. I love this place! The food is excellent!

This restaurant was suggested to me by my best friends as a good first date. My date and I went and had a good time. We will go there again for our anniversary. The food was fresh and fabulous. I love vegetables and this place has not dissapointed me YET. Never overcooked or undercooked. We had lobster and shrimp. It was well worth the money spent for a 1st date!

First of all, the person that wrote the last comment about how the staff and chef was rude because they "threw" your food on your plate, obviously does not understand the point of the restaurant. It is a fun and entertaining enviroment. The chef interacts with the people at the table and has fun with them. Once when I was there the chef bounced a piece of brocolli in someone's mouth. It is sooo much fun and the food is sooo good! you get a lot of food too. I usually have enough for dinner the next night as well. Don't listen to any of the bad comments, the people that wrote those apparently do not enjoy a fun atmosphere and of course I wouldn't bring a buisness meeting there, that was poor planning on that person behalf. Overall, it is amazing and you have to try it. My boyfriend and I go there every year for our anniversary and i look forward to it every year as well.

ive been to hamada a few times and i love the food and service it was just excellent my friends and family all love it too! i love seeing to expressions on my kids faceswhen they are watching the chiefs performances i was pleased with everything.

I have been to Hamada twice now and had a blast both times. It is great for friends, dates and family dinners. Last time I was there, the chef flipped a shrimp right into my mouth!!! Needless to say, it's a ton of fun and the food is great. I love the filet mignon and all of the great side dishes that come with most of the dinners.
