Founded in 1943, Heartland Blood Centers is an independent blood center that offers blood donation programs and services. It serves more than 30 hospitals in various county areas, including Kane, McHenry, DeKalb, Will, DuPage, Cook, Grundy, Kendall, Lee, Ogle and LaSalle counties in Illinois and Lake county in Indiana.
