The Tinley Park Police Department receives requests for many different types of services In Tinley Park, Ill. The department, in partnership with the community, provides professional police services. It employs a staff of approximately 78 full-time sworn police officers and 26 part-time officers, 16 radio operators and 13 civilian employees. Tinley Park Police Department is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The overall purpose of the commission's accreditation program is to improve delivery of law enforcement service by offering a body of standards, developed by law enforcement practitioners, which cover a range of up-to-date law enforcement topics.
